About Us
Grace Commission Alliance Church is a
Hmong Christian community in Hickory, North Carolina, rooted in faith and built on grace. For over 25 years, we’ve been growing, worshiping, and serving together under the leadership of Dr. Chimeng Andrew Yang and Dr. Kashia Christine Yang. We may be a close-knit church, but our vision is big. Creating space for authentic faith, meaningful connection, and grace that moves beyond our walls.

To equip believers for meaningful ministry through worship, fellowship, discipleship, leadership development, evangelism, and missions. We seek to build strong followers of Christ who serve with grace, lead with integrity, and share the gospel locally and beyond.

Dr. Chimeng Andrew Yang
Dr. Yang is the co-founder and President of Grace Commission Alliance Organization (since 2015), advancing a mission to serve communities, strengthen families, and provide spiritual guidance.
He is also the senior pastor and founder of Grace Commission Alliance Church in Hickory, North Carolina, faithfully leading the congregation since 2000. With over 25 years of pastoral and lay leadership experience, Dr. Yang is recognized for his inspiring teaching, heartfelt ministry, and vision for cultivating a vibrant, grace-filled church community.
A devoted leader, Dr. Yang is passionate about reaching the unreached, equipping leaders for ministry, and bringing hope to the hopeless. Under his guidance, the church has grown into a thriving spiritual family that nurtures strong family foundations and empowers believers to live out God’s purpose.
Dr. Yang pursued his theological studies at Liberty University, earning a Diploma in General Theology, and continued to achieve advanced degrees including a Master of Theology and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), graduating in 2021.
He is married to Kashia Ly Yang, and together they are blessed with six children — Jenny, David, Daniel, Michael, Jonathan, and Alicia — as well as a son-in-law, daughter-in-law, and five grandchildren. Their family exemplifies the values of love, faith, and service.
